The Importance of Mental and Physical Stimulation

Hey wellness team,

I hope you're having a beautiful day! Today, I want to talk about the importance of mental and physical stimulation. This is crucial not only for our pets but for us as well.

For our pets, mental and physical stimulation is a key factor of their happiness. A happy dog or cat needs daily engagement and exercise. This principle applies to us too. At Asher House Wellness, our goal is to bring our pets and people together because we ultimately need the same things: love, affection, healthy supplements, and nutritious food.

Our pets can be our accountability partners. If you're anything like me, your pets are your entire life. We want them to be happy and healthy, and we should aim for the same for ourselves. We need to be active, feed our minds with positive energy, and nourish our bodies with quality food.

Every day, find ways to stimulate your mind and body. Engage in activities that fulfill your need for physical and mental stimulation. This doesn’t have to take hours. Just 30 minutes of exercise and 15 minutes of reading can make a significant difference.  If that’s too much, try even a 10 minute power walk.  If you can’t do that, try 5 minutes breath work. For our pets, activities like playing fetch, going on hikes, and training sessions provide the stimulation they need.

Incorporate small, consistent efforts into your daily routine to set both you and your pets up for success.

I love you. Stay healthy, stay fit, and have a beautiful day!
